Prof. Dr. S Venkata Achuta Rao, is a distinguished academician and administrator with over 25 years of teaching and software industry experience. He is Graduated & Post Graduated from Andhra University, JNTUH, MP BHOJ University, and Ph.D., from State Government University- Krishna University, Andhra Pradesh, India. He began his career as in Software Engineer in 1997 and switched to teaching as his passion in 1998 He is elevated to a professor
in 2008 and subsequently held many academic and administrative positions in the institutions. He has over 115 research publications to his credit till now. 30 research publications are indexed in SCI, SCIE, Scopus, WOS, etc., So far 2 research scholars are pursuing Ph.D. under his guidance and some more are doing research under him. He wrote Five Text Books in the areas of Programming Languages, Data Mining, Artificial Intelligence, and Data Analytics, which are popular and widely used by engineering students. He published 4 Chapters on emerging technologies like Block Chain Technology, Cognitive Science & Behavior, and Drone Technology. He delivered many invited lectures and chaired Technical sessions in addition to organizing many national and international conferences. He is a Reviewer and Editorial Board member for International Journals. He is a Life Member of ISTE & CSI. He always feels an opportunity to work as a team to provide outcome-based education to meet the requirements of all the stakeholders. He is a very good administrator to bring all the staff welfare in terms of Academic guidance, Research as well as student support and progression, especially career guidance towards higher students for abroad aspirants, and able to provide a student-based requirements roadmap to get placement. He always believes every student has inherent strengths, hence we all teachers must encourage them in the right direction to reach their dream goals with societal responsibility. He is very keen to implement innovative teaching methodologies to impart practical education to young engineers. He strongly believes in Collaborative and Interdisciplinary training is always a step ahead in Student learning and it is an apex teaching methodology. He has a proven track record as a core member in getting Accreditations NAAC, NBA, AUTONOMOUS, and NIRF Ranking to bring the college to the next level. His vision is to meet the Institute’s vision towards function in the administration of Academics, Research, and outreach for both students as well as staff. He fosters a congenial atmosphere and nurtures space for the coexistence of diverse and critical points of view among colleagues in the faculty and facilitates their professional development.
Facilitate the development and adoption of cutting-edge curricula and pedagogy at the faculty and institute processes for continuous improvement. He always encourages students shall train in value-based engineering education with the objective to design and deploy projects for the needs and welfare of Society. We, as a Team of SREE DATTHA working with a dream to become SREE DATTHA UNIVERSITY (DU) through continuous improvement by making pebbles into diamonds to provide responsible societal engineers to serve across the Nation.
